Dealer fee calculator
What an installer receives after a lender fee, for three pricing approaches.
A modelling aid, not financial, tax or legal advice. Every default is an invented input from the glossary page, not a market fee or rate. Fee is a share of the quoted price (the principal), withheld from the amount funded, plus an optional flat fee. No down payment, nominal USD, pre-tax.

Method: fee = price x fee% + flat. Installer receives = price - fee. Net price: price = net. Add the percentage: price = net x (1 + fee%) + flat, which still leaves a shortfall of about net x fee% squared. Gross up: price = (net + flat) / (1 - fee%), so the installer receives exactly the net. Payment = P x r / (1 - (1 + r)^-n), r = annual rate / 12, n = months; at 0% it is P / n. Thousands commas work when the decimal mark is a point (30,000 or 1,250.50). A decimal comma works too (6,5). Forms such as 6.500 or 1.000 are rejected as ambiguous.
