Defaults are invented for illustration. This is a simple series-limit model, not an I-V simulation and not a measurement. Each substring (a group of cells behind one bypass diode) is described by its worst cell: the share of that cell's area that is dark (inactive) in the EL image. The model lets a substring either limit the module current or be bypassed, and keeps the better choice. It holds voltage constant and ignores the diode drop and any interaction between cells.
