Grid-connected day calculator

One day, hour by hour: where the solar goes (used on site, battery, export, curtailed, lost in an outage) and what the home imports.

A design aid. Every starting value is an invented example, not measured data. The solar shape, load shapes and 95% one-way battery efficiency are invented. The model has no backup hardware: in an outage, solar and battery stop and the load is not served. Replace each input with your own.

Presets (invented examples):
Result for the daykWh
Solar the array could make-
Lost because the grid is down-
Curtailed by the export cap-
Solar produced-
Used directly-
Into the battery (before losses)-
Battery to the home (after losses)-
Exported to the grid-
Imported from the grid-
Home load not served (outage)-
Self-consumption (% of solar produced)-
Self-sufficiency (% of served load)-
Battery charge left at midnight-

Method: solar follows a daylight bell from 06:00 to 18:00, scaled to the day's total. Solar meets the load first. Surplus charges the battery, then goes to the grid up to the export cap, and the rest is curtailed (the inverter does not make it). The battery covers load the solar cannot, and starts the day empty. Self-consumption = (produced - exported) / produced. Self-sufficiency = (served load - imported) / served load. Numbers accept 1,100 or 0,20 style input. "1.000" is rejected as ambiguous.
