Hybrid inverter datasheet check

PV window, battery range, battery power and backup rating against one hybrid inverter's printed limits.

Design aid, not a substitute for the maker's sheet, the adopted code or your AHJ. The module, site, battery and load values are invented. Inverter limits in the presets are copied from the sheets named under the results. It checks one PV input and one battery. It does not model shade, mismatch, losses, start-up voltage or the maker's own derating curves.

Method: voltage at cell temperature T = value at STC x (1 + coefficient x (T - 25)). Cold Voc is the hard voltage limit. Vmp outside the MPP range is flagged as Check, because the inverter then leaves its tracking window. Battery power at the pack's lowest voltage = battery current limit x that voltage, capped by the battery power cap if one is entered. The running load is compared with the smaller of the pack's discharge power and that battery power; above it, the load needs PV running during the outage. Presets: Sungrow SH10RT, German datasheet version 22.1 (2024); Fronius Primo GEN24 and GEN24 Plus 3.0 to 10.0 kW, EN_UK V01 Jan 2024, where the Isc multiplier is 1.25 because the sheet's footnote reads Isc pv = Isc max >= Isc (STC) x 1.25. The Sungrow lower MPP limit is the sheet's 200 V; its full-load range is in the user manual. The transfer time is shown as typed and is not checked: compare its unit and value with what your load tolerates. Decimal commas are accepted. Write 1000 or 1,000 for a thousand; 1.000 is rejected as ambiguous.
