Net billing and export rate calculator

Compares bills for the same meter reads under four methods. Every preset value is invented and is not a utility tariff. Decimal commas are accepted; write 1000, not 1.000. A design aid, not financial advice.

Meter reads by month (kWh)

Leave unused rows blank. Used on site is optional; it only affects the no-solar and gross cases.

Model: net metering nets kWh (credit kWh = export minus import, used first next month at the retail rate). Net billing prices imports at retail and exports at the export rate, with dollar credits carried forward. The fixed charge is never offset. Gross metering buys all use at retail and pays for all output at the export rate; a negative figure is a net payment. Leftover credit after the last month is lost. Value per exported kWh = (no-credit bill minus method bill) divided by exported kWh. Taxes, riders, time-of-use and tiers are not modelled.
