Remote-first service break-even
Compares visiting every fault with trying a remote fix first, for a fleet of sites.
A planning aid. Every starting value is an invented example, not a measured or vendor figure. Replace them with your own service records.
| Result (per year) | Value |
|---|---|
| Visits if every fault gets a visit | - |
| Visits with remote first | - |
| Cost if every fault gets a visit (USD) | - |
| Cost with remote first, including platform (USD) | - |
| Net saving, whole fleet (USD) | - |
| Net saving per site (USD) | - |
| Break-even share fixed remotely | - |
Saving per site = faults x access share x (fixed share x visit cost - attempt cost) - platform cost. Break-even share = (attempt cost + platform cost / (faults x access share)) / visit cost. Every fault is assumed to need one visit if not fixed remotely. Write 1100, 1,100,000 or 0,6. A lone comma or dot before exactly three digits (1,100) is refused as ambiguous.
