Solar-plus-storage mode comparison

Enter one design day of hourly values. It runs the same battery in three operating modes and shows the energy flows.

How to enter the profiles. Give 24 numbers each, for the hours starting 00:00 to 23:00. Each value is the kWh in that hour, which equals the average kW. Separate values with spaces or new lines. Use one full stop or comma for decimals and no thousands separators (a value such as 1.000 or 1,000 is rejected as ambiguous). Solar is the AC output of the array. Critical is the part of the load on the backup panel. Prices are in your own price units per kWh.

Method: hourly steps, one design day repeated until the battery's start state settles. Solar charges the battery first, then exports. Self-consumption discharges whenever the load exceeds solar, down to the reserve. Time-of-use discharges only inside the peak window, down to the reserve. Full backup holds the battery at 100% and never cycles it. No mode charges from the grid. The round trip is split equally between charge and discharge. Backup hours assume the grid fails at the start of the worst hour, solar is ignored, the reserve is released and the panel loads repeat daily. Net energy cost is import cost minus export credit. Illustrative; not a design, a bill or a guarantee.
