Watt, volt and amp calculator

Part 1 finds the third of power, voltage and current from any two. Part 2 turns a module's Vmp and Imp into array volts, amps and watts for a wiring layout.

Design aid, not a datasheet. Defaults are the page's example: the 420 W class module (Vmp 32.54 V, Imp 12.91 A at STC), an invented 14 modules in series and an invented 0.05 ohm cable. Numbers accept 10,000 and 7,6. A single comma or dot followed by exactly three digits (1,500) is flagged as ambiguous. Use it for DC. On AC, power also depends on the power factor.

1. Any two of the three

ResultValue
Power-
Voltage-
Current-

2. One array from module Vmp and Imp

ResultValue
Modules-
Array voltage-
Array current-
Array power-
One module-
Loss in one cable run carrying all the current-

Loss = current squared x resistance. Voltage drop = current x resistance. Whole modules and strings only.
