Best Solar CRM in India: 5 Picks Ranked, With INR Prices Where Published

How we research

The short answer: Zoho CRM (68.8/100) is the best solar CRM in India for installers who can set it up, though it has no solar features. OpenSolar (62.7) is the top solar-specific pick, with a free core platform. Fuzen’s Solar CRM Pro template has GST quotes and PM Surya Ghar (the national rooftop subsidy scheme) tracking built in.

A solar CRM is software that tracks each lead, quote and job for a solar company. In India it must also handle GST (India’s goods and services tax), DISCOM (electricity distribution company) paperwork and subsidy claims. Zoho CRM ranks first on this list, at 68.8/100, for installers who can set it up themselves.

We scored 10 CRMs for Indian solar installers in October 2026: 5 ranked, 2 general and 3 also considered. Only four solar-specific tools reached our minimum match score (4 out of 10). Zoho CRM is the best-scoring general CRM, so it joins them to make five. We add general tools only until the list reaches five. That is why HubSpot Sales Hub (65.1) and LeadSquared (64.0) are covered separately, even though they outscore OpenSolar.

What does an Indian solar CRM have to handle?

A solar CRM in India is not a US sales CRM with rupees added. A rooftop job runs through a DISCOM application and a net-metering stage (a meter that counts the power you send back to the grid). Many jobs also need a subsidy claim under PM Surya Ghar (the national rooftop subsidy scheme). Each step can stall a payment.

Quotes carry GST. Fuzen’s template names Facebook and Instagram lead ads as lead sources and WhatsApp as a follow-up channel. An IndiaMART integration has been reported for Solar Ladder.

An EPC (engineering, procurement and construction firm) with a sales team and site crews needs more. Survey forms, installation milestones and AMC (annual maintenance contract) tickets should sit in the same record.

That is the test we applied, and few tools pass it. Most solar CRMs sold globally were built for US permitting and US finance. The India-built options either lack public reviews or sit on general app builders.

This page covers only what changes in India. For the global shortlist, start with our best solar CRM guide. We assess the same tools for other markets on our UK solar CRM and Australian solar CRM pages.

How did we rank solar CRMs for India?

How the score is weighted

  • Use-case fit 35%
  • User reviews 20%
  • Pricing 15%
  • Ease of use 10%
  • Support 10%
  • Momentum 10%

We did our desk research from 22 to 25 October 2026 and checked prices and ratings on 22 October. We used company pricing pages, company documents and public user reviews. We did not run a sales pipeline in any tool.

  • Use-case fit (35%): How well the tool does this page’s job. CRM and lead management count most, then workflow automation and proposals. Tools with no named Indian presence score lower, and tools with no Indian presence at all score much lower.
  • User reviews (20%): G2, Capterra and similar ratings. Ratings based on only a few reviews count for less, and tools with no reviews get a middle score.
  • Pricing transparency (15%): Published prices score higher than prices you must ask for.
  • Ease of use, support and product momentum (10% each): We take these from review sub-scores and dated release notes. Without evidence, a tool gets a middle score here.

Scores are specific to this page’s job, so the same tool can score differently elsewhere. Third-party ratings are context only and never used in rating markup. SurgePV is not part of this ranking.

1. Zoho CRM (general CRM): best for installers on a budget who can configure solar stages

Best for: Indian installers with someone who can build solar stages, subsidy fields and survey forms. Score: 68.8/100.

What it is: Zoho Corporation makes Zoho CRM, a low-cost, customisable CRM for small and mid-sized sales teams. It is not solar-specific, but it is strong in India and publishes INR prices. Installers get solar workflows through partner customisation or an Aurora Solar API tutorial (a guide to linking two apps), not from Zoho.

Why we picked it: It has the largest review base here, with 7,005 Capterra reviews, and it publishes INR prices with a free plan for up to 3 users. That makes it a low-cost base for a team that can set up its own solar stages.

Key features:

  • Leads, contacts, deals and pipelines.
  • Workflow automation and blueprints for process steps.
  • Custom dashboards and modules.
  • Links to Zoho Books, Sign, Desk and Analytics.
  • Aurora Solar API tutorial for creating projects.

Pricing: Free for up to 3 users. Paid plans are per user per month, billed annually, with the monthly price in brackets. Standard is INR 800 (INR 1,300) and Professional INR 1,400 (INR 2,100). Enterprise is INR 2,400 (INR 3,000) and Ultimate INR 2,600 (INR 3,200). A free trial is offered, but its length is not stated. Checked October 2026 on Zoho’s edition comparison.

Pros (from user reviews on Capterra):

  • Most reviewers find it easy to use day to day, though some find the screens cluttered.
  • You can shape dashboards, workflows and automation around your own job stages.
  • Good value for money compared with rivals.

Cons (from reviews and our research):

  • Setup takes time to learn and may need outside help, reviewers say.
  • Support can be slow, according to reviewers.
  • No solar stages, subsidy fields or GST solar quotes come built in, so you build them yourself.

Reviews: Capterra 4.3/5 (7,005 reviews) and G2 4.1/5 (2,947 reviews), checked October 2026.

2. OpenSolar: best for free proposals and lead capture

Best for: Rooftop installers who want a free design-to-proposal tool with basic lead handling. Score: 62.7/100.

What it is: OpenSolar is a free design, proposal and sales platform from OpenSolar Inc. OpenSolar says it is used in 160+ countries. It pushed into India in 2026, with India partnerships announced in October. It is a proposal platform with a CRM layer. Lead management is documented, but pipeline automation largely is not.

Why we picked it: Its core platform costs nothing, and it takes a lead from design to a signed web proposal in one tool. It is also active in India, with local partnerships announced in October 2026.

Key features:

  • AI lead generation and PROfile lead capture (June 2026).
  • Interactive web proposals with e-signature and payment collection.
  • Free 3D and 2D rooftop design with shading, plus AI design in OS 3.0.
  • Sales tools added in August 2026.
  • Hardware shop with distributors.

Pricing: The core platform is free, and OpenSolar says it "will always be free". Hardware and finance partners fund it. Since 16 April 2026, API access and the Xero and QuickBooks connectors carry fees OpenSolar does not publish. API access has a 30-day free trial, and premium imagery is an optional paid add-on. Checked October 2026 on OpenSolar’s pricing announcement.

Pros (from reviews and our research):

  • No licence cost for any number of users on the core platform.
  • Adding, removing and changing panels is very easy, says a G2 reviewer.
  • The app gives your team useful information in the field, says another G2 reviewer.

Cons (from reviews and our research):

  • It is "not completely free" once you need add-ons, says a G2 reviewer.
  • We found no GST invoicing, DISCOM stages or PM Surya Ghar tracking.
  • The interface looks dated, though it works, says one G2 reviewer.

Reviews: G2 4.8/5 (3 reviews), checked October 2026. That is too few to rely on, and we found no Capterra listing.

3. Sunbase: best for a US-style all-in-one suite

Best for: Installers who want sales, proposals, projects and inventory in one modular suite and can work in USD. Score: 49.7/100.

What it is: Sunbase is a modular CRM and contractor management suite from US company Sunbase Data. Residential solar installers, roofers and general contractors use it. We found no Indian presence (USD prices, no Indian partners), so it scored much lower on this page.

Why we picked it: It covers sales, proposals, projects and inventory in one solar-specific suite at a published starting price. It made the top five only because so few solar CRMs qualify for India.

Key features:

  • Solar CRM with lead and sales pipeline management.
  • Proposals, estimates and e-signed contracts.
  • Project management and workflow automation.
  • Inventory and asset management.
  • Built-in design with shading and production estimates.

Pricing: Plans start from USD 59 per user per month. Everything else is a custom quote based on users, modules, workflows and onboarding. The design page says there are no long-term contracts. Checked October 2026 on the Sunbase pricing page.

Pros (from reviews and our research):

  • Automated emails and tasks save time on project management, says one Capterra reviewer.
  • Covers sales through inventory in one product, so you connect fewer tools.
  • A published starting price lets you budget before a sales call.

Cons (from reviews and our research):

  • Setup is hard for admins without technical skills, says the same reviewer.
  • We found no INR pricing, Indian support or Indian workflows.
  • Sunbase pages name no connections to other tools.

Reviews: Capterra 4.0/5 (1 review), checked October 2026. Its G2 listing shows no rating.

4. Fuzen Solar CRM template: best for GST quotes and PM Surya Ghar tracking

Best for: Solo and small rooftop installers who want Indian workflows pre-built and prefer a one-time payment. Score: 49.3/100.

What it is: Fuzen.io is an Indian no-code and AI app builder (Flux Media, founded 2019). No-code means you build apps without writing code. Its solar CRM is a pre-built template on that builder, designed around GST, the PM Surya Ghar subsidy and DISCOM net-metering. It is aimed at small residential rooftop installers.

Why we picked it: It follows an Indian rooftop job from the first lead to the net meter, so you do not have to build local steps yourself. That ready-made fit earned its place, even without user reviews.

Key features:

  • Lead capture with an 8-stage Kanban pipeline (cards that move across columns).
  • GST quotations with central and state subsidy slabs.
  • PM Surya Ghar subsidy and loan tracker.
  • 10-milestone installation tracker with photos, plus a mobile site-survey form.
  • Panel, inverter and BOS (balance of system) inventory, with AMC contracts and service tickets.
  • Platinum adds WhatsApp (via Twilio), Facebook and Instagram lead ads and GPS attendance.

Pricing: Solar CRM Pro is INR 59,000 + GST one-time. Solar CRM Platinum is INR 1,29,000 + GST one-time, and a custom solar app starts at INR 1,50,000. There are no per-user fees, a 14-day trial without a card and a 30-day money-back promise. Checked October 2026 on the Fuzen solar CRM page.

Pros (from our research):

  • The only tool here documenting PM Surya Ghar, GST subsidy slabs and DISCOM net-metering.
  • A one-time price with no per-user fees suits growing crews.
  • A 14-day trial with no card and a 30-day money-back promise lower the risk.

Cons (from our research):

  • No user reviews to judge it by, so every detail here comes from Fuzen’s own pages.
  • WhatsApp, lead ads and GPS attendance need Platinum, at INR 1,29,000 + GST.
  • Design-tool sync (Aurora, OpenSolar, PVsyst, HelioScope) needs the custom tier, from INR 1,50,000.

Reviews: No user reviews on Capterra or G2 as of October 2026.

What we could not confirm: Fuzen does not say whether you also need a platform plan, and its builder pricing page contradicts itself.

5. Solar Ladder: best for EPCs wanting CRM, procurement and finance together

Best for: Small and mid-sized Indian rooftop EPCs that want sales, projects, component buying and working capital from one company. Score: 45.7/100.

What it is: Solar Ladder is an India-only operations platform for rooftop EPCs, built by Mumbai-based Abhimanhan Energy Pvt Ltd. We could not reach Solar Ladder’s website, so the facts here come from its G2 and App Store descriptions and 2023 trade press.

Why we picked it: It is an Indian-built platform that adds parts buying and working capital to the CRM. That suits EPCs whose cash and stock run through the same team as sales.

Key features:

  • Solar CRM and sales pipeline.
  • Branded proposals (the company claims quotes in under 2 minutes).
  • Project management, tasks, site surveys and forms.
  • BOM (bill of materials) cost tracking and O&M (operations and maintenance) alerts.
  • Component procurement marketplace.
  • Working-capital loans and rooftop customer loans.

Pricing: Quote only, and G2 lists no pricing. A May 2023 Inc42 report said the sales module was free and premium modules were paid. We could not confirm that this still applies. Checked October 2026 on Solar Ladder’s G2 pricing page.

Pros (from our research):

  • Built for Indian rooftop EPCs from the start.
  • Procurement and installer finance sit alongside the CRM, which no other tool here has.
  • Field teams get an iOS app.

Cons (from our research):

  • No user reviews to judge it by.
  • No published price, so you need a sales call to learn the cost.
  • It is built for India only, so it does not suit work in other markets.

Reviews: No user reviews on G2 or the App Store as of October 2026. Solar Ladder’s G2 description claims 800+ installers.

What we could not confirm: Connections to IndiaMART and Zoho are reported only by a competitor’s review, not by Solar Ladder.

Which general CRMs do installers also use?

These are general CRMs, not solar-specific. Both scored higher than every solar-specific tool on this page, mainly on user reviews. Zoho CRM, ranked first above, is also a general CRM.

None of them ships solar stages, subsidy tracking or GST solar quotes. Budget for configuration or a partner.

HubSpot Sales Hub (general CRM): 65.1/100

Best for sales teams already using HubSpot marketing. HubSpot is a global sales CRM. We found no named Indian presence, so it scored lower on this page.

A third-party app (Saular) gives two-way sync with OpenSolar.

Pricing: Free for up to 2 users. Starter is USD 7 or USD 20 per seat per month (the page does not label which is the annual rate). Professional is USD 90 or USD 100 per seat per month, plus a required USD 1,500 onboarding fee. Enterprise starts at USD 150 per seat per month, plus USD 3,500 onboarding. Checked October 2026 on the HubSpot pricing page. Other currencies are selectable there, but we did not record INR prices.

  • Pros: a central pipeline and automation help close deals, it is easy to use, and prospect tracking is detailed (Capterra).
  • Cons: costs rise quickly with seats and tiers, calling tools can be buggy, and some find support hard to reach (Capterra).

Reviews: Capterra 4.5/5 (506 reviews), checked October 2026.

LeadSquared (general CRM): 64.0/100

Best for high-volume residential lead distribution. LeadSquared is an India-headquartered sales CRM for high-volume teams.

In a September 2024 case study from LeadSquared, Indian residential solar company SolarSquare uses it to capture and distribute around 500,000 leads with automated scoring. That is the company’s own claim, not independent evidence.

Pricing: Sales Pro is 60 and Sales Super 100 per user per month, billed annually. Custom plans are on quote. The global pricing page shows a dollar sign without naming the currency, and we did not find INR prices. Checked October 2026 on the LeadSquared pricing page.

  • Pros: lead management is a core strength, it is easy to use, and customisation is flexible (Capterra).
  • Cons: some report slow or unhelpful service, small bugs and slowness, and an expensive subscription (Capterra).

Reviews: Capterra 4.3/5 (167 reviews), checked October 2026.

Also considered

  • Arka 360 (below the minimum score, as its CRM is an add-on): the most reviewed India-built solar tool we found (G2 4.3/5 from 137 reviews). But it is design-first, and its CRM is a lead-management add-on. Its Indian pricing page showed two conflicting INR price sets, so we have not quoted one. See our India design software page.
  • Pylon (strong reviews, but no Indian presence puts it below the minimum score): a per-project design and proposal tool with an optional CRM. We found no Indian presence, and the prices we checked are in GBP. See our UK solar CRM page.
  • Odoo (a weak match for this job): a general ERP (business management) suite. Solar installation workflows come from a third-party module, and we could not read the company pricing page.
  • Capterra India listings (Solar CRM Solutions, SolarOps360, SaaSolar): not scored, because we could not confirm a company website or core facts for any of them.

How do you choose a solar CRM in India?

  • Have someone who can configure a CRM? Zoho CRM’s free plan for three users, or the INR 800 Standard plan, is a low-cost base. It also has the largest review record here.
  • For zero licence cost, when you mainly need proposals and lead capture, pick OpenSolar and accept a light CRM.
  • Small rooftop installers who want GST quotes, subsidy and DISCOM tracking on day one should trial Fuzen’s Solar CRM Pro. Ask in writing whether a platform plan is also needed.
  • EPCs that also want component buying and working capital can book a Solar Ladder demo. Ask for references, because there are no public reviews.
  • A high-volume residential sales team with central lead routing should shortlist LeadSquared.
  • Sales and marketing already in HubSpot? Keep it and add an OpenSolar connector rather than switching.
  • Want the shortlist without an India filter? Read our best solar CRM guide.

Solar CRM in India FAQs

What is the best solar CRM in India?

Zoho CRM is the best solar CRM in India in our October 2026 ranking, at 68.8/100, but you must set it up for solar yourself. OpenSolar (62.7/100) is the top solar-specific tool, as its core platform is free. Only Fuzen’s template has PM Surya Ghar and GST workflows built in.

What is the solar CRM software price in India?

OpenSolar’s core platform is free, and so is Zoho CRM for up to 3 users. Paid Zoho plans cost INR 800-2,600 per user per month, billed annually (October 2026). Fuzen’s Solar CRM Pro costs INR 59,000 plus GST one-time, and Platinum INR 1,29,000 plus GST. Solar Ladder publishes no prices.

Can a solar CRM connect directly to PM Surya Ghar?

No. We found no CRM that documents a direct connection to the PM Surya Ghar portal as of October 2026. Fuzen’s Solar CRM template includes a subsidy and loan tracker that records each application’s status. Your team still files on the portal itself.

Which DISCOM stages should a solar CRM track?

Set up one stage for each step your DISCOM and the subsidy scheme require, from application to net-meter installation to subsidy release. Fuzen’s template ships with a 10-milestone installation tracker built around DISCOM net-metering. In Zoho CRM or HubSpot, you build these stages yourself.

What should an installer test in a CRM’s WhatsApp connection?

Check that WhatsApp messages log against the right lead and that templates can send quotes and payment reminders. Also ask who pays the messaging fees. In our October 2026 research, only Fuzen’s Platinum template documents WhatsApp, through Twilio.

Which solar CRM suits an Indian EPC company with a sales team and site crews?

Look for site-survey forms, installation milestones and service tickets next to the sales pipeline. Fuzen documents an installation tracker, AMC tickets and GPS attendance (on Platinum). Solar Ladder documents project management, surveys and O&M alerts. Neither has public user reviews as of October 2026.
