Solar financing platforms for installers are sales and proposal tools. They show a client their finance options, run credit applications and track funding. Aurora Solar ranks first on this list, at 78.3/100.

This page is mainly about software. We do not compare interest rates, APRs (annual percentage rates) or dealer fees.

Few tools fit this job. Only 4 platforms qualify, so we rank 4 and do not pad the list. We never rank lenders on this site, so their installer portals appear further down with no rank and no scores.

A 5.0 on reviews, ease, support or momentum is our neutral score. We use it when public evidence is thin. It is not a judgement.

All four software platforms are built for homes first. Solo and Enerflo are US only. Aurora’s price page is for North America and in USD. OpenSolar cites 160+ countries.

What is the difference between finance software and lender portals?

Installers meet financing through two kinds of tool. Each solves a different problem.

  • Sales and proposal platforms sit in front of many lenders. They put loan, lease and PPA (power purchase agreement) options into one proposal. They pass client data to the lender and keep the deal in your pipeline. The more lenders they link to, and the deeper each link, the more they are worth.
  • Lender installer portals are each lender’s own dealer software. You use them for credit applications, signing papers, milestone uploads and funding status. They cover that lender’s products only. Each lender you sign with gives you one more login.

Rates, dealer fees and approval rules change often. They also depend on your contract with each lender, so we do not publish them. Check current terms with each lender directly.

How did we rank these financing platforms?

How the score is weighted

  • Use-case fit 35%
  • User reviews 20%
  • Pricing 15%
  • Ease of use 10%
  • Support 10%
  • Momentum 10%

We looked at 12 products from 22 to 25 October 2026. They were four sales platforms and eight lenders. We used company documents, pricing pages, partner help centres, trade press and public user reviews. This was desk research. We did not run deals in any tool. We scored each product on six factors.

  • Use-case fit (35%): How well it does this page’s job. That means finance in the proposal and the number of lender and TPO (third-party ownership) links. It also covers credit applications from the proposal, and tracking of funding and milestones.
  • User reviews (20%): G2 and Capterra ratings. Too few reviews gets a neutral 5.0.
  • Pricing (15%): Public prices score higher than prices you must ask for.
  • Ease of use, support, momentum (10% each): Review sub-scores and dated releases. With no proof, each gets a middle score.

Scores are for this page’s job, so a tool can score differently on another page. All four ranked platforms reached our lowest match score (4 out of 10). The eight lenders went through the same research but are listed with no rank and no scores. SurgePV is not part of this ranking. Read the full method: how we score software.

1. Aurora Solar: best for design-led residential sales with lender options in the proposal

Best for: US home solar installers who design and sell in one tool and want lender products inside the proposal. Score: 78.3/100.

What it is: Aurora Solar is a cloud tool for 3D design, simulation and proposals, from Aurora Solar Inc. Its main buyers are US home and light commercial installers who design and sell in one place.

Why we picked it: Lender options sit inside its sales proposals, and it has 121 G2 reviews at 4.7/5 plus a published price. Its lead comes more from those reviews than from finance depth.

Finance connections (from our lender research): Sungage lets reps run a soft credit check and apply inside Aurora’s Sales Mode. EnFin lease and PPA products are also on offer in Sales Mode. GoodLeap and LightReach link to Aurora too. We did not find a full lender list on Aurora’s own pages.

Key features:

  • Proposals with finance options, such as tax-credit estimates (US credit rules change, check current law) and TPO scenarios.
  • Lender applications from Sales Mode (Sungage soft credit check, EnFin TPO).
  • Battery modelling for backup, self-consumption and arbitrage in the same proposal.
  • Design API (a way for other software to connect) on Enterprise.

Pricing: Basic USD 159 per user per month (USD 135 billed yearly). Premium USD 259 (USD 220 billed yearly). Enterprise is custom and priced per project. Checked October 2026 on the Aurora pricing page.

Pros (from user reviews):

  • Shade reports and output estimates you can trust (Capterra).
  • Accurate designs, backed by strong customer service (G2).
  • New reps learn fast from its videos and help library.

Cons (from user reviews):

  • Proposal and finance features are thin for the price.
  • It links to few other software tools.
  • It uses a lot of memory on weaker computers (2019 reviews).

Reviews: G2 4.7/5 (121 reviews) and Capterra 4.1/5 (7 reviews), checked October 2026.

2. OpenSolar: best for free design and proposals with integrated finance

Best for: Small and mid-sized installers, in the US or elsewhere, who want finance in proposals with no software bill. Score: 74.0/100.

What it is: OpenSolar is a free design, proposal and sales platform from OpenSolar Inc. It is aimed at home and small commercial installers. Hardware and finance partners fund it. Its proposals are web pages the client can click through.

Why we picked it: It puts finance options into proposals with no software bill, and OpenSolar says the EnFin link costs nothing extra. It is also the one platform here that cites markets outside North America.

Finance connections (from our lender research): EnFin loan products show up inside OpenSolar proposals and update on their own. OpenSolar says credit decisions arrive "in under a minute". Sungage also links to OpenSolar.

Key features:

  • Built-in finance options in interactive proposals.
  • Prequalify and apply from inside the proposal (EnFin).
  • E-signature and payment collection.
  • Xero and QuickBooks connectors (paid).

Pricing: The core platform is free. API Access (usage-based, 30-day free trial) costs extra from 16 April 2026. So do the Xero and QuickBooks connectors (a monthly fee per company). Neither rate is public. Premium imagery is optional. Checked October 2026 on OpenSolar’s pricing notice.

Pros (from G2 reviews and our research):

  • You can add, remove and swap panels with ease.
  • Reps get an easy app that works in the field.
  • Your whole team can sell on the free core platform, with unlimited users.

Cons (from G2 user reviews):

  • Users say it is "not completely free", even though it is sold as free.
  • An engineer still needs to check panel layouts.
  • The screens feel dated.

Reviews: G2 4.8/5 (3 reviews), checked October 2026. That is too few to rely on.

3. Solo: best for US sales teams wanting AI design plus a lender marketplace

Best for: US home solar dealers and installers whose reps build proposals at volume. Score: 66.2/100.

What it is: Solo is a platform for AI-assisted design, proposals and finance. Solo of Lehi, Utah, makes it for US home solar sales teams. It bought SolarNexus in September 2023. Since then it has added roofing, HVAC and generator "Studios".

Why we picked it: Its financial marketplace lists six lenders in one proposal. It also checks each deal against lender, utility and permit rules before it goes out.

Finance connections (from the company’s integrations page): A financial marketplace with Sungage, GoodLeap, Sunlight Financial, Sunnova, LightReach and Dividend. Its integrations page also still lists Mosaic. Built-in checks cover lender, utility and AHJ (local permit office) rules.

Key features:

  • Financial marketplace across many loan and TPO providers.
  • Checks against lender, utility and AHJ rules.
  • AI auto-design with setbacks in under five minutes, which feeds pricing and adders.
  • Solo Analytics dashboard for proposal results.
  • CRM links with Salesforce, HubSpot, Enerflo, SalesRabbit and others, plus an open API and webhooks.

Pricing: Quote only (you have to ask the company for a price). Solo lists "flexible options based on usage, support level, and scale". Checked October 2026 on the Solo pricing page.

Pros (from a review and our research):

  • New reps are easy to train, and proposals are simple to build (Capterra India review, December 2025).
  • Unlimited users and concierge onboarding come in the price, so adding reps adds no seat fees.
  • Dated monthly release notes through April 2026 show steady updates.

Cons (from a review and our research):

  • Reps can change too many settings, which makes quality control hard (same review).
  • There is no public price, so you must book a demo.
  • Battery-only and roofing proposals were on a waitlist or coming soon in April 2026.

Reviews: G2 4.6/5 (12 reviews), checked October 2026. The only review text we could read sits on a Capterra India listing that mixes Solo with an unrelated product.

4. Enerflo: best for volume dealers routing deals across several lenders

Best for: Mid-sized to large US dealers and EPCs that work with many lenders and want one system from sale to install. Score: 66.0/100.

What it is: Enerflo is a sales-to-install operating system for US home solar dealers, installers and EPCs. It adds proposals, finance, contracts, install tracking and a client portal. It sits on top of the design tools and CRMs you already use.

Why we picked it: No platform here matches this job as closely on workflow, because Lendflo routes each deal across lenders and tracks it to funding. A price you must ask for and only 2 G2 reviews hold its total back.

Finance connections (from the company FAQ and partner docs): Its Lendflo module routes loan, TPO and cash deals across lenders. Palmetto LightReach and EnFin are listed integrations, and LightReach status syncs back by webhook. Sungage lists Enerflo as an integration. Design inputs come from Aurora, OpenSolar, Solo, Solargraf, Scanifly or Aerialytic.

Key features:

  • Lendflo: loan, TPO and cash routing across lenders.
  • Docflo contract packets and e-sign.
  • Install Tracker with milestones and change orders.
  • White-label homeowner customer portal.
  • REST and GraphQL APIs with webhooks, plus Domo-powered reporting.

Pricing: Quote only. Enerflo charges a flat monthly fee based on your average monthly volume. There are no per-seat or per-proposal fees. There is also a one-time setup (implementation) fee and a 12-month minimum. A starting price shows on Enerflo’s G2 profile, which the company manages, but not on enerflo.com. So we have not quoted it. Checked October 2026 on the Enerflo FAQ.

Pros (from our research):

  • Contracts, e-sign, install milestones and a client portal sit in the same system as finance.
  • Sits on top of your design tools and CRMs instead of replacing them.
  • Adding reps does not raise the bill, as there are no per-seat fees.

Cons (from our research):

  • You sign up for at least 12 months and pay an implementation fee.
  • It works in the US only.
  • Reps cannot clear LightReach M0 (first funding milestone) tasks inside Enerflo, so homeowners finish them in the LightReach portal (Enerflo help doc).

Reviews: G2 5.0/5 (2 reviews) and a Capterra listing with 0 reviews, checked October 2026.

What we could not confirm: what reviewers like or dislike, as the G2 review text was not visible to us.

Dividend Finance

Dividend lends to homeowners for solar and home upgrades. Fifth Third Bancorp has owned it since May 2022.

Its partner portal handles pipeline management. It also offers "Dividend Lite", a one-link application that runs from prequalification to signing. The portal covers document updates and resends, e-sign and automatic change orders. These details come from a 2020 platform news release, and we could not confirm what it offers today.

Fifth Third’s Q2 2026 quarterly report shows its solar install loan balance falling in the first half of 2026. Solo and Solargraf link to Dividend. CED Greentech’s Ensemble programme offers stage payments.

EnFin

EnFin is Qcells’ home solar finance arm. We could not reach enfin.com, so its facts come from OpenSolar’s and Aurora’s partner pages.

In OpenSolar, you can prequalify and apply from the proposal, and loan products update on their own. In Aurora’s Sales Mode, EnFin lists lease and PPA products with soft-credit prequalification. It also lists several TPO options in one proposal. Enerflo also lists EnFin as an integration.

EverBright

EverBright offers home solar lease and PPA finance to installers. We could not confirm that it is still trading in 2026. Its website did not show up in our searches. Its help wiki was mostly locked, and the latest dated items we found are from 2024.

Solargraf links to EverBright. Installers can send Solargraf shade reports and solar access values to it for finance.

GoodLeap

GoodLeap (once called Loanpal) is a point-of-sale finance platform for solar and home upgrade contractors. It has loans, lease and PPA (added 2024) and GoodLeap Payments (launched June 2025).

The GoodLeap Pros mobile app compares finance offers and tracks the pipeline. Direct Pay pays distributors upfront. Sacra, a third party, says it also has in-app e-signature and next-business-day funding once a milestone is checked. Aurora, Solo, Solargraf, Artemis and Tigo link to GoodLeap.

LightReach (Palmetto)

LightReach is Palmetto’s home solar lease and PPA programme. Its portal handles homeowner credit applications by email link, and DocuSign contracts. It also covers the M0 notice-to-proceed checklist and domestic-content attestation (proof of US-made parts for a tax-credit bonus). These details come from partner help docs (Enerflo, Pipe) and Solar Builder, not Palmetto’s own pages.

SiteCapture syncs milestone photos and data. In a partner case study, one installer cut average funding time from 22 to 9 days with that sync. Enerflo, Aurora, Solo, Solargraf and Pipe also link to it.

Sungage Financial

Sungage is a Boston lender for home solar and home efficiency. Since November 2025, Hatch Bank has issued its loans, in 44 states plus DC.

A BayWa r.e. distributor overview and Aurora’s partner page describe its installer portal. It has mobile sales tools, quick Solar Savings Plan quotes, a single loan document and Direct Pay to distributors. It also runs soft credit checks inside Aurora. Aurora, OpenSolar, Solo, Enerflo and Bodhi link to it.

Sunlight Financial

Sunlight runs two point-of-sale portals. Orange is for established contractors. Tangerine, built for mobile, is for growing ones. Cross River Bank issues the loans.

Orange has one application for prime and non-prime borrowers, with soft-pull decisions. It also has an ExpressApp flow from quote to approval, Flex Approvals for change orders, and a paperless e-sign and funding flow.

The site was live in 2026 and now covers roofing and HVAC as well as solar. Solo and ArcSite link to it.

Sunstone Credit

Sunstone is a US lender for commercial solar, storage and energy projects. It serves small and mid-sized C&I installers. It is the only lender here that focuses on commercial work.

Partners apply online and can offer finance within 24 hours of onboarding. They then send clients an application link, and Sunstone handles the paperwork. It launched a standalone storage loan in October 2025. It added Flex loans with part of the funding upfront on 7 October 2026. Solargraf links to it by API key, and so does Energy Toolbase.

Also considered

  • Mosaic: excluded. We could not confirm whether Mosaic still offers loans (checked October 2026). Solo’s integrations page still lists it.
  • Concert / Propel, Service Finance, Renew Financial, Enium Capital: not assessed, because we could not check their details for this page.
  • Affirm, GreenSky, Wisetack: general point-of-sale lenders that do not name solar, so they are out of scope.
  • Solargraf: Enphase’s design and permit platform includes TPO and loan finance (Concert, LightReach, EnFin, Propel) on all plans. It was not in this page’s scored set. See our design and proposal software ranking.

How do you choose a solar financing platform?

  • Already design in Aurora and sell a few lender products? Use Aurora’s Sales Mode links before you buy another layer.
  • For finance in proposals at no software cost, or if you sell outside the US, start with OpenSolar.
  • If your reps build many home solar proposals and want the widest lender choice in one place, shortlist Solo.
  • Working with many lenders at volume? Enerflo gives you routing, contracts, milestones and a client portal in one system. Budget for the setup fee and 12-month minimum.
  • For commercial projects, check which proposal tool your C&I lender links to. The four platforms ranked here are built for homes first.
  • Whatever you pick, ask which lenders are live today and whether status updates sync back. Lender lists change, as Mosaic’s listing on Solo still shows.

For wider comparisons, see our solar proposal software, solar sales software and solar financial modelling software guides.

Solar financing platform FAQs

Which proposal tools integrate solar loan, lease and PPA options?

All four software platforms ranked here do. As of October 2026, Solo lists the most lender links. Enerflo routes loan, TPO and cash deals across lenders through Lendflo. Aurora carries Sungage, EnFin, GoodLeap and LightReach options, and OpenSolar links to EnFin and Sungage.

What is a solar dealer portal?

A solar dealer portal is a lender’s own software for approved installers. It handles credit applications, signing papers, milestone uploads and funding status. Examples are GoodLeap Pros, Sunlight’s Orange and the LightReach portal. A platform such as Enerflo or Solo sits above many portals.

What happened to Mosaic, and does it affect my proposal tool?

We could not confirm whether Mosaic still offers loans (checked October 2026), so we left it off this page. In October 2026, Solo’s integrations page still listed Mosaic. Check with your platform which lenders are live before you quote a client.

Is Sunlight Financial still operating?

Yes, as far as we can tell. Its site was live in 2026, with Orange and Tangerine portal logins and blog posts up to July 2026.

Why doesn’t this page compare APRs or dealer fees?

Rates and dealer fees vary by contract, credit tier and state, and they change often. Our editorial rules do not allow rate tables. So this page compares how installers offer finance, checked October 2026. Check current terms with each lender.

Is there free solar financing software for installers?

OpenSolar’s core design and proposal platform is free and has built-in finance options. OpenSolar says its EnFin link costs nothing extra. API access and accounting connectors have cost extra since 16 April 2026, at rates it does not publish. See our free solar proposal software guide.
